It can be applied in a wide range of hydraulic and marine engineering projects, such as shoreline protection, breakwaters, wave‑break structures, river and canal improvement, and tubular containment systems. It is also used for dewatering industrial waste, sludge, coal‑mine tailings, and agricultural residues. Geotextile tube systems are easy to install and exhibit excellent long-term durability after construction.
Soil‑pipe dewatering technology has been widely adopted in projects of all sizes around the world, for obvious reasons: its simplicity and low cost. This method requires no complex mechanical equipment such as belts or gears; it features very few moving parts, resulting in minimal wear, fewer malfunctions, and straightforward, convenient operation, with significantly reduced component requirements compared to conventional processes.
Depending on customer requirements and space constraints, geotextile tubes come in a wide range of sizes, from small to large. They can even be loaded onto dump trucks for transport as needed. This is one example of an adaptable dewatering technology, making it an efficient solution. The volume of sludge can be reduced by more than 90%, with a higher solids content, thereby simplifying both removal and subsequent treatment.
