Ton bags are commonly referred to as tonne bags because their load capacity is typically measured in tonnes. Currently, tonne bags with capacities ranging from 500 to 2,300 liters can handle loads of 0.5 to 3 tonnes, making them one of the most widely used packaging materials. They facilitate the handling of bulk powdered materials and are characterized by their large volume, light weight, and ease of loading and unloading.

Currently available in volumes ranging from 500 to 2,300 liters and with capacities of 0.5 to 3 tonnes, they are one of the most widely used packaging materials. They facilitate the handling of bulk powdered materials, offering advantages such as large volume, light weight, and ease of loading and unloading. With a simple structure, lightweight design, foldability, minimal storage space requirements, and low cost, tonne bags serve as flexible transport packaging containers. Structurally, they provide benefits including moisture resistance, dust protection, radiation shielding, robustness, and adequate strength. Thanks to their convenient handling, tonne bags have significantly boosted loading and unloading efficiency, leading to rapid growth in recent years.

　　FIBC (flexible intermediate bulk containers) are manufactured using polypropylene as the primary raw material, with a small amount of stabilizing additives uniformly blended. The mixture is melted and extruded into plastic film via an extruder, which is then cut into filaments and subjected to stretching and heat-setting to produce high‑strength, low‑elongation PP monofilaments. These filaments are subsequently woven and coated to form the base fabric of the plastic woven bag, which is then sewn together with straps and other auxiliary components to create the finished FIBC. FIBCs are classified by shape into round, square, and U‑shaped types.

　　When connecting the sling to the body of a bulk bag, there are various configurations—top‑hang, bottom‑hang, side‑hang, and more—joined by stitching. Therefore, the stitching is equally critical: relying solely on the high strength of the slings will not suffice if both the base fabric and the sewing thread fail to meet the required strength standards, thus compromising the overall performance of the bulk bag. For bags with a safety factor greater than 5, at least two of the four loops, or one of the two loops, should exhibit tensile strength exceeding 2.5 times the rated load; even if two slings were to break, the entire bulk bag would remain safe.

　　Please note the following guidelines for loading and transporting ton bags:

　　Moreover, the fence‑type and warehouse‑type configurations are better suited for handling ton bags; since ton bags cannot be loaded or unloaded manually, using an overhead crane on site to handle them is highly convenient.

　　Without air‑lifting, a counterbalance forklift can be used; however, it should be noted that while lifting with a sling is acceptable, the bottom of the ton bag must not be opened directly.

　　When forklifts and cranes aren’t available, the loader’s bucket tip can serve as a makeshift solution; moreover, when used in conjunction with pallets, it’s less prone to damage and offers a higher safety margin.

　　When transporting ton bags, please observe the following precautions:

　　1. After use, wrap the toner cartridge in paper or an opaque tarpaulin and store it in a well-ventilated area.

　　2. Keep the ton bags upright during loading, unloading, and stacking.

　　3. Do not drag ton bags on the ground or concrete.

　　4. During handling in the workshop, use pallets whenever possible and avoid suspending ton bags, which can cause shaking during transport.

　　5. Hang the hook at the center of the sling or rope; do not hang it diagonally, and avoid suspending the toner bag off to one side or at an angle.

　　6. Do not stand the large bag upright,

　　7. When operating a forklift inside a ton bag, ensure that the forks do not come into contact with or adhere to the bag’s surface to prevent puncturing.

　　8. Do not pull the sling back to the outside.

　　9. During operation, do not rub against, hook onto, or collide with other objects.

　　10. When storage outdoors is necessary, FIBC bags should be placed on pallets and securely covered with an opaque tarpaulin.

　　11. During lifting operations, do not stand beneath the ton bag.
