Anti-static bulk bags: Plastic bulk bags are typically made from polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE), materials with high electrical resistivity and poor water absorption, which makes them prone to static electricity buildup. When used in environments where ignition sources with low ignition energy are present, or when filled with materials that can easily ignite, these bags can readily lead to electrostatic discharge–induced explosions. To prevent such incidents, anti-static plastic bulk bags have been developed, primarily in overseas markets.
Anti-static bulk bags: Plastic bulk bags are typically made from polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE), materials with high electrical resistivity and poor water absorption, which makes them prone to static electricity buildup. When these bags are used in environments where flammable substances with low ignition energy are present, static‑induced sparks can easily trigger explosive incidents. To prevent such accidents, anti-static plastic bulk bags have been developed, primarily in overseas markets.

Systematic research on the electrostatic properties of plastic bulk bags has been conducted, resulting in the development of methods for manufacturing antistatic plastic bulk bags, the establishment of a classification system for such bags, and the publication of corresponding test standards. Moreover, other developed countries also maintain accredited testing laboratories that are members of ISO and IEC organizations.
Some university laboratories have conducted a comprehensive systematic analysis of the safety implications of static electricity in plastic bulk bags. In addition to using conventional electrostatic physical parameters to assess the safety of these bags, they have also proposed a specific method: exposing the bags to flammable gases (such as ethylene) to evaluate their safety.
At the end of May 2003, a flexible intermediate bulk container (FIBC) manufacturer produced sample bags that passed testing. It is one of the few enterprises in China capable of producing qualified antistatic and conductive FIBCs. While many companies already manufacture antistatic and conductive plastic FIBCs—namely Type B and Type C containers—China has yet to successfully develop a Type D bag that incorporates its own proprietary intellectual property.
