Conductive bulk bags, also known as flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBCs), ton bags, or “space bags,” have numerous English translations. A conductive bulk bag is a type of unit‑load container that can be transported using cranes or forklifts, making it ideal for handling and shipping bulk powders and granular materials. As a flexible transport packaging solution, it is widely used in industries such as food, grain, chemicals, and mining to package and move powdered, granular, and chunky goods. In fact, within the express‑delivery and logistics sectors, transfer‑container bags are also considered a category of logistics containers; however, due to the inconsistent specifications of delivery‑specific containers, conductive bulk bags for express delivery do not appear to fit neatly into the broader logistics‑container framework.
Conductive bulk bags, also known as flexible intermediate bulk containers, ton bags, or space bags, have numerous English translations. A conductive bulk bag is a type of unit load device that can be transported using cranes or forklifts. It is suitable for the handling and transport of bulk powdered and granular materials. As a flexible transport packaging container, it is widely used for the transportation and packaging of powdery, granular, and lump‑shaped goods in industries such as food, grain, chemicals, and mining.
In fact, in the express delivery and logistics sector, transfer container bags are also a type of logistics container bag. However, due to the wide variety of specifications among delivery containers, conductive express delivery bulk bags do not appear as standardized as conventional logistics container bags. Moreover, they do not conform to the standard for conductive bulk bags.

Conductive bulk bags are manufactured primarily from polypropylene. After adding a small amount of stabilizing additives, the plastic film is melted and extruded through an extruder, cut into fine filaments, stretched, and then heat‑set to achieve high strength and low elongation. The material is then woven and coated at high speed. PP virgin yarn is used to produce the base fabric for plastic woven bags, which are then sewn together with straps and other components to form a bag. In the past, collection bags in the express delivery sector were typically conductive bulk bags. Today, eco-friendly cloth bags are gradually replacing these conductive bulk bags, driving the widespread adoption of green packaging. Even when conductive bulk bags are employed by the express delivery industry, they remain highly recyclable packaging solutions.
The “safety factor” is the ratio of a conductive bulk bag’s load‑carrying capacity to its rated design load. It primarily depends on whether the bag’s contents and its body exhibit any abnormalities, as well as on the condition of its connections. In comparable domestic and international standards, the safety factor is typically set at 5 to 6 times. A five‑fold safety factor ensures that conductive bulk bags can be used safely for extended periods. Moreover, when UV‑stabilizing additives are incorporated, the range of applications for these bags expands significantly.
Conductive bulk bags are primarily used to package bulky, granular, or powdered materials, and the physical density and looseness of the contents significantly affect the overall performance. As for the criteria used to evaluate the performance of conductive bulk bags, it is essential to conduct tests under conditions as close as possible to those in which the customer’s intended product will be loaded. This is stipulated in the standard. “Standard filler for testing.” Technical standards should be used whenever possible to address the challenges of a market economy.
